African Weddings

A busy day it was, but as usual by 6 am am on my way home. I was soaked in thoughts attempting to mock my presentation in tomorrow’s meeting. After 15 minutes into da flight my favorite song plaid  close to my ear,On turning right, I witnessed beauty seated, she glared back but seemed not moved.
I Sat at ease and picked a magazine, I pretended to be reading she reminded me  that “I was reading it upsidedown”.Now
that was a bold from an African girl,in fact during African weddings they are advised not to be bold but to rather submit to the man.
In Uganda among the Basoga Its believed that a husband’s opinion is ultimate, the wife only follows.

I took a deep breathe, shelved the Agric Mag and turned right. Despite the slur, a few sentences were clear “hi…..what’s ur name…..”
The conversion went on and on,i even waived off Flight attendant’s plights of serving us  juice and a few European snacks.
We discussed a conflate of things from travel, hobbies to relationship, sex and marriage, the call to tighten our safety belts for landing cut Short the jazz. By then I had got her digits.

In a true African setting am not supposed to search for a marriage partner, its rather my father and immediate Uncle who should.
If I wanted Cathy for marriage, 1st I send my daddy and uncle to her, they ascertain that we are not related ,that she is disciplined and she is sexually posh. In some tribes the Uncle may Bonk her just to be sure, that she is good for bed.   A disciplined girl is one who will submit to the guy and kneel before him.
After that, my parents organize a wedding at their cost.

African weddings

Africans value marriage and sex,it is then linked to insane
fertility rates and over population in the continent. In my country on average a Ugandan Lady is capable of 7 kids in her life span but remember life expectancy is 45 years. Most became mothers at 15 just after their culture wedding. Last week I attend one, though the Lady was 39 and had 5 kids parents kept on reckoning that she needed to have twins just to bless the wedding and also please da groom!!!!. To cope with the average African  women get kid a every after 2 years contrary to the recommended rate of 5 years. Ma grandma produced 20 between 14 and 50 years.

Such a culture expose our dear girls to sexually transmitted diseases at a tender age. Our sisters become pron to fistulas, suffer domestic violence and finally drop out of school.
That said I fell in love with the Kanza a Buganda official wear.

Go Forward to Molt or Fledge.

images

Barons don’t just inscribe we take time just to circumvent decapitation, it was common in the medieval and Uganda is not any different from those antediluvian times. It’s been a while now, am informed Go Forward isn’t alien to most A Ugandans, if I don’t pen anything about it, who knows I may drop my position on the table of chronicles at a later time.

3rd world countries like Uganda aspire to go forward; is Uganda going forward, do we need or want to go forward, well I don’t know. My trepidation though is who takes us forward?

She/he ought to be a candid person.

I discern that one person can’t have a prerogative to take 40 million plus people and beyond forward, yet he has totally failed to take 25 million or less forward in the last 30 years. I have heard Amama reckoning that he will stand come 2016 if a democratic process is not trailed in NRM primaries, does that mean that NRM won’t fellow democracy in cherry-picking a flag bearer or he knows democracy is not part of the party itinerary, I don’t know.

Am certain that such actions are portent to regime or state collapse, they enthuse regicide and political optimism whose effects are awful. Once such ferocious actions occur, only one man is responsible.

Museveni has created this system of patronage that even a don can’t make a simple decision before he refers it to the main man for approval. Unfortunately many Civil servants, Minsters and Experts who are highly learnt have no free will to decide, what matters to them is the Divine intervention of the indivisible.

Invariably, Slogans of such a nature Pakalast, Kisanja, SOLE CANDIDATE are not started by the the Shakespeares of any country, but by political Pack leaders. They only shudder in losing political stand or be fired from to cabinet. That’s why Sevo retains a vacant cabinet seat, to inspire these alpha Males.

I think he should own up and Molt his gutsy behavior in that respect, Just for Ugandans. Such a practice makes Alpha Males more ambitious and the next agenda is to attack the Game Warden it has happened to Besigye, Bukenya and now Jajja Twitter.

I can’t fault Jajja Twitter for “Go Forward” however I need to know more about Temangalo, Chogm deals and lastly his preference for Mercedes Benz to suffering children in the North. Jajja’s conduct prompted justice Katuusi’s comment “Big Fish”, Is he a big fish any more, I don’t know.

His Slogan seems catchy; Iam told behind it is a blank pay slip waiting for only its subscribers. In reality Go Forward is much better than Sole Candidate, just for pie idem.

Sole candidature itself is an insult to me a citizen who full fills civic duties, youth and East Africans. Many will argue otherwise, i at least believe it undermines democracy which is a principal in the constitution of Uganda, vision 2040, EAC treaty and other development plans Uganda has concluded.

Under Political Parties and Organization Act (PPO), political parties are public entities which receive funds from government, should government fund undemocratic ventures? A friend once said that they business is funding undemocratic policies and activities; I had my qualms then but not now.

Persecution of negatives call them “opposition” is a burgeoning activity in Uganda especially towards election. Given its barbarity and keen to Political mob justice Police have reminded blatant and averse illegalities. I only write to convey my message to them.

Mayiiga will be remembered as “the Katikiro who rolled over” and also “the Etofaali Katikiro”!

Ugandans-At-Heart

Buganda Kingdom premier Charles Peter Mayiga Buganda Kingdom premier Charles Peter Mayiga
Folks,

Depending on the lenses, each of us employs, to critically look at Mayiiga the Katikiro of Buganda, and his two years tenure, most of us will come up with either, good, bad, and all the in between. The only important and most indisputable fact of Msyiga’s tenure will be his capitulation to the bullying tactics of the dictatorship, leaving the people of Buganda and all Ugandans at the mercy of Museveni. He will be remember as “the Katikiro who rolled over” and also “the Etofaali Katikiro”.

The interest of Baganda, and Ugandans, TODAY, is not the restoring the Kasubi Tombs, or the finishing of Masengere, but establishing viable political conditions, that will endure and move the country forward, away from bad and corrupt leaders.

It would not be unfair to suggest Katikiro Mayiga, too, has fallen foul of the anti-bad government challenging stance, the…
